The 2019 Riesling, hailing from our esteemed ‘This is It’ vineyard on the Naramata Bench, is a testament to meticulous winemaking. Harvested by hand, the Riesling grapes underwent whole cluster pressing prior to a controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The fermentation was artfully halted at 18g/L of residual sugar by chilling the wine to 0 degrees Celsius, preserving the natural sweetness of the grape juice while achieving an inviting off-dry profile.
This off-dry Riesling boasts a pale straw hue and unveils quintessential Riesling aromas of petrol, ginger, citrus, and honey. On the palate, it offers a symphony of peach, apricot, lime, and Meyer lemon flavors.
This wine is an excellent companion to a range of dishes, from the fiery spices of Asian and Indian cuisine to the succulent flavors of roast duck and turkey. It also pairs beautifully with both sweet and sour chicken and pork.
