Late Harvest Wines
After the rest of the grapes have been picked during the main grape harvest season, we keep a few vines on just a little longer to make our late harvest wine. These grapes are naturally dehydrated on the vine to an almost raisin-like state, which concentrates the sugars and intensifies the flavours. As the grapes mature and break down, they are then hand-picked over several weeks to ensure they are harvested at the perfect time. The entire process translates to sweet, complex dessert wine, with a balanced nuance of dryness and fermentation. Our late harvest wine is the perfect way to end a wonderful meal but also makes a lovely aperitif to start a dinner party.
All Bench 1775 late harvest wines carry Canada’s Vintners Quality Alliance (VQA) seal of approval.
