We’ve Won More Awards!

Bench Wines - Award Winners

We’ve just won more awards and accolades in the 2014 Lieutenant Governor’s Awards for Excellence in British Columbia Wines and the 2014 Los Angeles International Wine Competition!

Our 2013 BENCH 1775 Sauvignon Blanc was a FINALIST in the 2014 Lieutenant Governor’s Awards for Excellence in British Columbia Wines. With 436 entries, this was the largest competition to date. Of the wines submitted for tasting, the panel of expert judges chose only 55 to advance to the final evaluation. Our 2013 BENCH 1775 Sauvignon Blanc achieved this distinction! “The judging panel commented ‘the standard of quality was very high this year. In part, that reflects two good vintages in 2012 and 2013, along with challenging vintages in 2010 and 2011 that quite a number of producers handled well. The high quality also reflects the ever more accomplished viticulture and winemaking throughout the industry.’ ”

Moreover, we have won more MEDALS at the Los Angeles International Wine Competition 2014! Our 2012 BENCH 1775 Pinot Noir won SILVER, 2012 BENCH 1775 Gewürztraminer and 2012 BENCH 1775 Groove won BRONZE!

Many thanks for your support and the hard working team at BENCH 1775 Winery!
