Deep ruby in colour with a slight garnet rim, it opens with aromas of black cherry, cassis, and blackberry layered with dried sage and bay leaf. Subtle notes of cocoa, cedar, and vanilla from French oak add warmth and complexity.
Medium-plus in body, the palate delivers dark fruit flavours of blackcurrant and plum, supported by polished tannins and savoury hints of thyme and tobacco. The finish is long and gently mineral, with lingering dark fruit and cedar.
