The late-June heat dome brought extreme temperatures and lower yields, resulting in beautifully concentrated, high-quality fruit. Aromas of blackberry, cassis and dark cherry are layered with violet, cocoa and subtle sagebrush. The palate is rich and juicy, with ripe black fruit giving way to bright red berry notes and gentle spice. Smooth, polished tannins and fresh acidity bring balance and lift, leading to a long, supple finish with lingering fruit and spice.
