The 2020 Riesling Brut was produced from fruit on our “This is It” vineyard. We decided to try a brut from this vineyard as an experiment to see if the fruit is better for sparkling or table wine. We will not know till the 2021 Riesling kabinett style has been bottled.
The Riesling was hand picked and whole cluster pressed before being fermented in 100% stainless steel for 30 days. The wine was then bottled and underwent secondary fermentation. Left on lees for 14 months before being disgorged.
This German Sekt inspired wine is off dry with floral, apple, pear, peach and citrus notes. Enjoy this wine with pork schnitzel, tempura, prociutto/arugula pizza, spicy pakoras, bowl of spicy Pho, Thai fish cakes.
