The 2020 Bench 1775 Syrah was harvested from our vineyard in Osoyoos. This wine has aromas of black cherry, plums, pepper and light smokey notes. The palate is a great example of Okanagan Syrah, with characters of savory black cherry, blueberry, plum followed by light herbal and spice notes. The wine was aged in 30% new French oak for 16 months.
Pair this savory Syrah with summer bbq’s, rack of lamb, vegan cassoulet, eggplant parmesan, spicy ma po tofu and hard cheeses like aged smoked goulda, stilton. And soft cheeses like gorgonzola and blue cheese.
